The mortal remains of Maphryono Mor Baselios Yaldo, who arrived in Malankara in AD. 1685 and passed away shortly, are interred in the sanctuary of this church. Patriarch Mor Ignatius Zakka I visited this Church on September 25, 2004 and consecrated Holy Myron at this Church.
