Kyomtha Chapel was established by late Mor Ostatheos Thomas, Metropolitan of Cochin Diocese in the mid-1980s atop a hill in Thiruvankulam where the late Very Rev. Mookencheril Ramban used to meditate. The bishophric of the Cochin diocese is now located here.
